Wallace brings to his art the experience of having  been a licensed New Hampshire guide and countless hours of hiking the woods, canoeing a river or exploring a swamp.  Many of the ideas for his work come from following old, less traveled country roads and recording what he sees.  He has come to rely on thousands of field sketches for his studio painting.  Although Wallace paints to express his feelings, he also strives to bring an appreciation of nature to us.  Over the years he has won many awards and is part of many private collections.
