David
Gleason is a life long resident of beautiful
Carmel, California, a
region long famed for it's art photographers.
Besides photography, David is
also a painter and sculptor with a bachelors
degree in studio art. The
inspiration for this color series of photographs
was a powerful image of
children's brightly painted faces under black
light. Taken by a good friend,
it inspired him to experiment with the same
effect combining paint and the
female form, in essence using the human body as
a canvas and combining his
art training with his new found passion for
