Jesús
Coll has been in the photography world since he
was a kid. He has been interested in many kinds of
subjects, from the magnificent relaxed lanscape to
the disturbing hardcore scene. He likes to place
every possible subject in front of his lens,
mainly in the same technical approach: the most
possible sharp B&W image a given lens can get.
So, he basically works on his 4X5" (10x12cm.)
view camera.
Much
of his time is now split between his fine art work,
commercial assignments for several stock agencies,
as well as running his own studio for commercial
photography, graphic design, multimedia, web
design, internet hosting and prepress: GrŕficArt.
His assignments have run the gamut from fashion to
travel to product photography. Despite his
admittedly hectic schedule, he still finds the
time to work in the darkroom tending to his prints
like a master craftsman. He believes every serious
photographer should control every tone value of
the final Fine Print as it is the composer playing
visualization from the original score
